John and Anita Fryer We are preservation breeders' promoting this breed to the general public at all times for show, sports and as family dogs. It is the family dog owners that share their beloved pets to the public and we know that even more so than show homes, its the family dogs out there showing off their dogs to anyone wanting to listen and see them, that counts.

ABOUT US
John and I formed Masterkarn kennels in 1984 (Dobermanns) and in 1989 introduced our first German Pinscher which became our dominate breed. We live in Qld with our children, several dogs and 2 cats. John started obedience in 1975 with his German Shepherds he later became a trainer for DCSA in 1985 with his first Dobermann. He was Head Trainer for the DCSA in 1986. I trained my first obedience Dobermann 1979 then commenced training obedience classes in 1986 with the DCSA. Both of us became all breeds trainers in 1987. Dog Sport also became a part of our lives along with the show ring in 1984 with our first show Dobermann. John and I were heavily involved in the Working Aptitude testing in the early days with the DCSA. Our Dobermanns were highly successful in the Working dog field, security environment and with consistently major wins in the show ring, WAC and top place wins in obedience trials.

Masterkarn kennel was established with German Pinschers in 1989 as one of 4 founding breeders of the German Pinscher in Australia and the founder in South Australia.
We are situated in Qld, Australia and all our dogs are raised as part of our family, in our home and outside which gives a lovely social and balanced puppy.
WHAT WE BREED FOR AND WHY?
Our focus is on breeding exceptional German Pinschers for SHOW dogs, PERFORMANCE and COMPANION dogs for families and new show breeders in Australia. German Pinschers are a rare breed and is the main reason for our keeping of them other than the German Pinscher is an ideal all round active dog with families and active owners. We have nursed this breed since its arrival in Australia as preservation breeders to save them from extinction in this country.
We have imported and exported this breed for over 37 years. We are proud to be preservation breeders of German Pinschers, promoting this very old breed at every opportunity. We love our family dogs and know they are vitally important to this breed..
As preservation breeders, Masterkarn devotes all our time and huge outlay on importing new lines and promotions to see German Pinschers remain in the forefront as a breed in Australia since its beginning. Our dogs have achieved titles in many countries including producing Grand Champions from our exported dogs progeny, and also founded new kennels of German Pinschers and Dobermanns.

We breed Pinscher puppies usually two - three times a year, and you will need to reserve your pups from us, as we do book out very quickly. Although we are not focused on firsts of the breed, our focus is on the long term outcome for our kennels within the longevity and generally healthy breed. We have achieved many firsts for the German Pinscher in Australia. Here are just some...
* First All Breeds, Multi-winning, BIG awarded German Pinscher is a Masterkarn dog.
Multi R/Up and BIG winning dogs bred by Masterkarn kennels.
* First best in show Minor (all breeds).
* First best in show Puppy (all breeds).
* The first R/UP Group winner from the minor class with an 8-month-old bitch.
* First Neuter Champion. Runner/Up in SHOW Neuter and several Neuter BIG wins.
* Our Exported dogs have progeny titled Grand Champions.
* We have produced Grand Champions, and many, many Champions to our name.
We are consistently on the show scene in Australia at dog shows around Ipswich, Brisbane (Durack), and some major shows in country areas of Qld. If you would like to meet our dogs please contact us for where our next dog show will be.
We do love to see our Show potential puppies excel in the show ring and our family dogs gain performance titles or any activity our family dogs do. These are the objective of our breeding programs.
